Our Board of Advisors

Charles A. Aziegbemhin

Charles A. Aziegbemhin is the Founder of Dili Capital Corp. and a member of the Board of Directors of Magna Hope Foundation. Charles has been instrumental in the strategic direction of the DiliCapital, and the financing, acquisition, restructuring, management, acquisition, and disposition of investment assets. Charles began his career with Celestica-IBM and SpaceTech. In 2003 while working in ECCMOX, Charles led a team of engineers and consultants to collaborate with SNC Lavalin Profac to implement a massive greenhouse gas reducing project for the Government of Canada.

Charles has extensive work experience in structured finance, real estate, equity markets, debt instruments, insurance, renewable energy and management. He has championed and built a reputation for developing business models and strategies that help incubate new companies into revenue-generating engines for engineering companies, real estate investment firms; and mortgage investment entities. He holds a master degree specializing in financial engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto. He is a Professional Engineer, and also holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designations from the Canadian Security Institute.

Nisar Patel

Mr. Patel has considerable experience managing EPC projects with varied complexities, involving multi-disciplinary project teams. Nisar is an Engineer with more than twenty years of work experience with Jacques Whitford Ltd. (Stantec), Hatch Mott Mac Donald, McCormick Rankin Corporation, Toronto Transit Commission, City of Toronto, and MEC Global Group Ltd. 

Nisar has dealt with various types of contracts, contract claim reviews and negotiation with a good understanding of Contract Law, Construction Lien Act, and related legislation, worked on projects involving medium to high complexities and multiple stakeholders such CN Rail and the City of Toronto. He is very skilled in engineering review, constructability review, and technical report writing with analytical skills to identify problems and provide engineering solutions. Nisar is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, certified project management professional. He holds a B.Sc. Civil Engineering and B. Law degrees accredited by the Federation of Law Society of Canada.

Andrew Macnab

Mr. Macnab has been a Member of the Board of Magna Hope Foundation since May 2020. He is the Vice President of iVizinc consulting in Canada since June 2005. In this role, Mr. Macnab is responsible for corporate strategy, planning, compliance, and financial reporting. He previously held the roles of Senior Vice President and Treasurer, as well as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations Celestica. During his 25-year career with iVrizinc, Celestica and other Companies, he served in numerous operations and business development roles, including President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic International from 1981 through 1998, where he was responsible for activities in Canada, the United States of America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Also, Mr. Macnab served as CEO of Lucacell, a nationwide company in Mexico; CEO of iViizinc’s Global Solutions Inc., a global connectivity business providing lit and dark fibre primarily to global enterprises; and an area President for iVizinc’s Canada business, responsible for all operational aspects in the Northeast provinces. Mr. Macnab began his career at Deloitte. He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and also a Certified Public Accountant.

Zina Karam

Ms Karam is a highly analytical individual with considerable experience as Chief Executive Officer of Karam Altai Electromechanical in UAE, London, UK and Toronto, Canada, managing MEP projects with varied complexities. She is an Engineer with over 20 years of work experience in over twenty countries including Sierra Leone, Iraq, Qatar, UAE, UK, and Canada, She coordinated, managed, monitored the development and construction of major iconic buildings projects in the UAE

Zina has dealt with major contracts negotiations, reviews, Construction Lien, legislation in various jurisdictions, and projects involving medium to high complexities with multiple stakeholders such as utility companies and regulatory authorities in Middle East, Europe and Canada. She is very skilled in engineering review, constructability review, and technical report writing with analytical skills to identify problems and provide engineering solutions.

Zina enjoys involvement in philanthropic organizations. She holds a B.Sc. Electrical Engineering, a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, and a certified project management professional.by the Project management institute.

Daniel Lofton

Mr. Lofton is the President and Founder of LoftonGroup Limited. He served as the President and CEO of Datacasting Corporation and Daimler Aerospace. He was also the VP and Business Manager of Zee Systems Inc. and the Business Unit Manager of Computing Devices Company. Before founding LoftonGroup, he spent nearly 20 years with engineering and technology companies, where he held several management positions. His other mandates include that he is a Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Strategy Committee and Member of the Audit Committee of Holding entities in AG, Switzerland.

He joined the Board in 2020 and is the Chair of Audit & Finance. He has taken on several advocacy roles, including as a member of the R&D Committee of the Aerospace Industry Association of Canada, and as an Honorary Member of the Mexican Association of Distance and Continuing Education. Daniel obtained his bachelor a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Ivan Wordsworth

Mr. Wordsworth has provided strategic and operational leadership within marketing organizations. Working at the intersection of marketing and technology, Ivan has conceived and deployed hundreds of global marketing campaigns, loyalty platforms and digital platforms for consumer brands like PepsiCo., Disney, and Kimberly-Clark. In 2010, Ivan took a departure from organization marketing life and began leading a digital transformation as the Director, Digital Strategy & Engagement at the Wordsworth World. Ivan has also actively participated as a thought leader on numerous industry councils and boards including The Canadian Marketing Association, The Brand Activation Association, and The Association of National Advertisers.

In addition to his professional career, Ivan has volunteered with numerous committees and boards including United Way, Imagine Canada, University of Manitoba Business School Foundation, Red River College, and the Manitoba Marathon Foundation. Ivan has served on many boards since 2010 and has held Chair of the Human Resources Policy. Ivan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from York University.
